New Radiohead – Out Today

radiohead

It’s here. It’s here. It’s here.

I won’t talk about it until I can fully listen to the whole album. Lotus Flower is one of the singles off the brand new Radiohead album, The King of Limbs, that was meant to be out tomorrow, but is available to purchase today here.

Video and song below. Want to know how Thom Yorke dances? Yea, me too:

Three Leaves and A Head

I wanted to post on Three Leaves and A Head, a very special pianist from Paris. There is not much known about him; in 2008 he released 2 remixes of Radiohead tracks from In Rainbows and I have been waiting for something to follow ever since. Nothing has followed…:( If anyone knows differently, please let me know but nevertheless, every time I stumble upon these, it hits me the same. I had to share his remixes of Reckoner and Nude, which are exceptionally gorgeous renditions of the original, less a remix and more an evolution of the songs via classically crafted compositions.

New forthebeat Featured Artist: Emily Neveu

emily

Another Lefse Records artist, Emily Neveu (solo project of Calico Horse frontwoman) is someone you should check out if you’re into really pretty female voices. Personally I’m not, but Emily caught my attention with her cover of Radiohead’s Idioteque. I can appreciate that because if I could sing, I would sing Radiohead covers all the damn time.

Emily plays drums, guitar, bass, piano, and sings, so I think it’s safe to say she is probably awesome.

And the original I am in love with (sighhhhhh):

Emily is currently recording her debut full-length album, so look out for more news on that in the coming months…

radiohead: new song

radiohead2

Radiohead just released their new single “Harry Patch (In Memory Of),” available for download on Radiohead’s website for £1.

The song is a tribute to late British World War I veteran Harry Patch, who was the last surviving UK soldier.

Listen and watch here.

Thom Yorke also wrote this on the Radiohead site today:

The proceeds of this song will go to the British Legion.
To peace and understanding.

Thom
