M83′s Upcoming Album Release

Hurry up, we’re dreaming. This is the title of M83’s upcoming album due for release on the 18th of October, but I reason to say that it’s too late M83; we already are. We’re dreaming of listening to every last track on this highly-anticipated delight of a double disk.

After the release of single Midnight City, and the almost immediate remix put forth from Trentemøller, Anthony Gonzalez has proven – yet again – that like a fine wine seasoned with time, M83’s musical output just keeps getting better and better. Way to go Anthony, you deserve a cookie.

Tour dates are set and they’re NY bound for Webster Hall on Nov 22 & Music Hall of Williamsburg on Nov 23, so mark it up and move it out. We can only dream of what’s instore.

M83 – Midnight City

Midnight City (Trentemøller Remix) by M83

New Artist: Peanut Butter Lovesicle

Peanut Butter Lovesicle’s sound matches their very awesome name. The Brooklyn-based band is brother Jake and Mike D’Arc and cousin Timmy Miller. (Very) Good ol’ Southern Rock/blues inspired music. I first pressed play to check this band out at 8:35 this morning and have been pressing repeat pretty much ever since.

Peanut Butter Lovesicle recently toured in London in July and have played a few shows in Brooklyn and New York since. Their new single “Black Eyed Blues” was recorded at SAE Institute.

New Artist: White Arrows

Los Angeles based White Arrows began with the Schiff brothers. The lead, Mickey Schiff, was born legally blind until age eleven, and then miraculously gained his sight back. Their 7 track self-titled EP was released last year, and then in the UK this past May. Their 7″ was released last week, which included a RAC produced track below, called “Get Gone.” It gets better with every electro pop feel-good listen.

White Arrows will be touring with The Naked and Famous this fall. Beforehand they are playing a few London shows September 25 through October 1st so definitely check their site out for full information and tour details.

Something to Snuggle With:

My friend Mattias was kind enough to send this my way. Hello Sweden: you have done it again. Thank you for providing the dancefloor with the perfect social lubricant for our dancemoves. And thank you too for homage, witty lyrics, and clever
…each present in your newly released EP.

This nice little ditty features Swedish electro group the Teddybears, and their subsequent recent EP release features collaborations with Robyn, The Flaming Lips, the B-52’s, and Cee Lo Green amongst others. Inspiration is cited as
Kraftwerk, The Ramones, and Public Enemy. Hello dreamboat, we have arrived. Thank you for welcoming us aboard.

These guys have a bounty of work, but this new release is worthy of being separated from the pack. We hope you enjoy & invite it into your weekend, just as we plan to do. And who knows, we might even moonwalk while listening.
