MSTRKRFT is another forthebeat favorite, having seen them a few times this year, first at All Points West in New York in August and then again last month at San Francisco’s Treasure Island Music Festival.  This DJ duo can best be described as: beautiful chaos.  Trademark performance tracks include “Fist of God,” “Bounce,” and “Heartbreaker” — all equally high-energy, jumping up and down until you might pass out — dance electro at its best.  “Heartbreaker” is one of my favorite tracks.  Here is my favorite remix of the song by Laidback Luke:

This 5 year+ veteran DJ duo makes me want to rethink my “concerns” about Canada…joking aside, they are truly an awesome listening experience and amazing live.
