Calvin Harris – Ready For The Weekend
Calvin Harris‘ second studio album drops August 17th. The first single off the album “I’m Not Alone” is already a #1. “Ready for the Weekend” is the second single to be released on August 10th.
“Ready for the Weekend” is just: awesome. The single features Mary Pearce singing my favorite line of the song which is the hook, repeated over and over: “I put on my shoes and I’m ready for the weekend.”
Harris was recently interviewed by The Sun (UK) and had this to say about the track: “The hook’s sung by a woman called Mary Pearce, who’s a diva. She’s got this great big voice and it’s like a nod to an old dance classic. I love underground dance music but I also have an extreme love of commercial dance music. But only the good stuff.”
